4⭐️ 3。5🌶️ “I know what you’re thinking， Bianca。 This is wrong。 We shouldn’t be doing this。 It can’t possibly be real。 But it is。 And I want more， need more。 I know it’s what you want too。”This was everything promised and more–Empire of Lust is full of dark， broody， dangerous and forbidden vibes and I ate it right up。 I’m a sucker for a good age gap minus the “daddy” vibes and this absolutely delivered。 Throw in some chaotic and slightly unhinged energy and I’m sold forever。 Empire of Lust was 4⭐️ 3。5🌶️ “I know what you’re thinking， Bianca。 This is wrong。 We shouldn’t be doing this。 It can’t possibly be real。 But it is。 And I want more， need more。 I know it’s what you want too。”This was everything promised and more–Empire of Lust is full of dark， broody， dangerous and forbidden vibes and I ate it right up。 I’m a sucker for a good age gap minus the “daddy” vibes and this absolutely delivered。 Throw in some chaotic and slightly unhinged energy and I’m sold forever。 Empire of Lust was an epic start to the Torrio Empire series and I’m absolutely here for it。Callum was dark， slightly deranged， and a man who knew exactly what he wanted but shouldn’t have。 I adored his protective vibes when it came to Bianca and how he knew exactly when to push her limits and when she needed a tender hand。 I really enjoyed watching his walls begin to come down and seeing how he fought so hard to allow Bianca in and give her a little control despite being burned in the past。Biana was my only downfall， as she came across as immature for much of the book， even for her younger age， and her reactions to some of the surprises that occurred really seemed a touch over the top for me。 I also really didn’t love how she kept things from Callum that ended up being extremely important and endangered/could have endangered herself and others。 That being said， though， I did feel like there was a little bit of growth until the very end when she went back to her old ways and I am really hoping to see her blossom in future books。 I also really did love how accepting she was of her desires toward Callum and having her eyes opened to the passion she had been missing out on while settling and trying to live up to others’ expectations prior to the start of this book。The underlying plot of this book had me on the edge of my seat and as the villainous players came into focus， I was screeching from the anxiety and excitement。 I had a suspicion that something similar to our cliffhanger would happen but I was still not prepared for this one to end quite like that and now I’ll be anxiously awaiting the release of Empire of Lies in May because I have so many questions left unanswered and so many loose ends that I need resolution to。 。。。more

This is the first book that I’ve read by this author， but I am so ready for more。 I really enjoyed her writing style， and I have to say that I was completely swept up into the premise of this book。 I wanted the over-the-top， alpha male character。 I wanted the dark romance。 I wanted the mafia romance。 I wanted the age gap and the fact that he cannot get enough of his daughters best friend。 That is what sold me on this book and this book delivered that。 It delivered that and more， and I truly cann This is the first book that I’ve read by this author， but I am so ready for more。 I really enjoyed her writing style， and I have to say that I was completely swept up into the premise of this book。 I wanted the over-the-top， alpha male character。 I wanted the dark romance。 I wanted the mafia romance。 I wanted the age gap and the fact that he cannot get enough of his daughters best friend。 That is what sold me on this book and this book delivered that。 It delivered that and more， and I truly cannot wait to continue the rest of the series。 I cannot put this book down。 From the moment I started it I needed answers。 I needed everything with these characters。 I needed more of their push and their pool in that back-and-forth。 I needed more of that electric chemistry that gave them everything。 I needed more of just everything that made them them。 I needed more of those choices that equally pulled them closer while driving them apart。 I needed more of the suspense element that one of its way so fantastically through this book。 I just needed more of it all because I was so invested in everything that these characters were sharing and building together。 This author really does a phenomenal job of just putting you in the back of the story and having you need everything with these characters。 I cannot get enough and I really can’t say that enough。 I wanted everything with Callum and Bianca。 Those two are pure fire。 They make you want everything even when it feels so wrong。 They definitely start a very eventful journey in this book， and I will warn you that the ending will have you desperate for more， but you will love it。 I know I did。 I seriously cannot wait to continue on with the rest of this series。 I need the rest of these books in my life as soon as humanly possible because I just want more of everything this author has already created in this world and series。 I also really hope that there’s some future books for some other characters in this world because let’s just say there is some serious foundation being laid for those other characters and I am here for it。JL Beck definitely consumed me with every word of this book， and I am ready for more。 I’m ready for everything。 She’s willing to give her characters， and I have no doubt that it will be dark and twisty and fiery and phenomenal。 Just like this first book was。 I loved everything about this book。 I know it’s definitely not for everyone and be sure to check the trigger warning so that you go in eyes wide open， but just know that if you give this book a chance you will love it。 It was exactly what I was hoping it would be， and I truly cannot wait for more！ 。。。more
